Thanks to all who helped make the party a success.  From the decorations to the technical difficulties crew to Jew and Jon for the program. … And especially to those who chose to come out and enjoy Glutton fellowship and party.

Humanity cardThe Gluttons typically hold an event on the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Years ago it was the Toilet Bowl Football game.  But as the years passed and the bodies aged we digressed into less physical endeavors. For several years we spent the Friday after Thanksgiving bowling at the Corner Bar.  Well, we forgot to reserve the date and the place isn’t available this weekend.

So, we’ve decided to hold another Gluttons Against Humanity game night on Friday, November 27th. If you’re not familiar with the game, it’s described as a “game for horrible people”.  It’s very inappropriate in language and subject matter.  If you’re easily offended you might want to sit this one out.

Play begins at 7:27 pm sharp.  BYOB and a snack to share. No Kids.

Gobs back in town

Festivities get underway Friday night about 6 pm as the guys gather for a Homecoming at the club to tell stories, some of which might be true.  There will be a $5 charge for food and beverages.  Gluttonettes are gathering at Seven Stones Winery in New Melle from 3 to 9 pm on Friday.

The Glutton 50th Anniversary Banquet is Saturday evening at Spazio near Westport Plaza.  Appetizers from 6:30 to 7:15; buffet dinner at 7:30 and a program starts at 8:30.  They will kick us out at 11 pm.

Sunday is the day of the big 50th Anniversary Memorial Day PIGNIC.  It gets underway from 11 am until the last person leaves in the wee hours of Monday morning.  This event is free to anyone who was ever a member of the Club and they can bring one guest free.  Others will pay $20 for adults, $10 for non-drinkers and kids 6 to 20, and kids under 6 are free.

The 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament will be held Monday (May 26) at Emerald Greens starting at 10 am.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone and seeing who looks the oldest.  It’s ok to be and look old.  At least your name isn’t on a brick yet.  🙂
